At the May meeting we have the pleasure to hear Tom Travis and view many of his photos from around the world.  You may know Tom’s photography work as he recently had a photo exhibit on “Females Around the World” at the Library for Union County.
Photos of Women, Children, Animals and Mountains from Around the World
Speaker: Tom Travis
Abstract: Tom will share photos from his world travels of women, children, mountains and animals.  He will discuss his approach to photography, which emphasizes composition over picture quality.  He focuses on the emotion of people and the beauty of mountains.  He use photography to record his travel experiences and to educate people about the world.
Bio of Tom Travis: Tom is Professor Emeritus of International Relations and Political Science at Bucknell University.  He has traveled widely to 109 countries and has lived in Italy, India, and Russia. He exhibits his photos in albums on FLICKR where they have had over three million views, and recently at public libraries.

After Tom’s talk we will break for light refreshments and conversation for ten minutes or so then Dan will get us back together for a Critique Forum.  If you wish to participate and have your photos critiqued by the group, please submit up to five JPEG images to Dan at by 5 pm Tuesday May 21, 2019.

The theme for the June 2019 Photo Quest is “Flowers.”
