Feb Photo Club Meeting @ The Village Common
Feb 28 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

What do you do with all your photos?
Panel of Experts-Mindy Lamprinos, Penny Patterson, Owen Floody, and Dan Hyde

Do you have boxes and boxes of 35mm slides, prints and negatives?  Do you have many digital images scattered in many folders on your computer’s hard drive? Are you frustrated when you can’t find an image? During the first hour of the meeting we will focus on the issues surrounding storing, organizing, protecting, and preserving all your photos. And present possible solutions.

Before the meeting, a questionnaire will be emailed to all the Photo Club members where they can express what they view are the critical issues in storing, organizing, protecting, and preserving a person’s collection of photographs. And members will have an opportunity to describe their solutions if any.

At the meeting, the experts will summarize the questionnaires’ results and add their own thoughts.   They will discuss several sub questions: How and where to store all your pictures? How to organize them? How to access individual images you need? How to be selective and mark the best? How to deal with old media like 35mm slides, prints and negatives?   How to implement a disaster plan?  How to pass on your photos after you are no longer around? How to share large portions of your photo collection with others? E.g., photo albums, photo books, slide shows, web pages, social media like Flickr and Instagram, photo exhibits.

After the panel, we will have a short break followed by a Photo Quest.  The theme of the Photo Quest is “Ice.”  If you wish to participate in the Photo Quest challenge, please submit up to two JPEG images to Dan at by 5 p.m. on Tuesday February 26, 2019.  For new members, more details about our Photo Quests can be found at
